Syncrovex is a privately owned company based in South Queensferry, close to Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.
The company was incorporated in 2013 by Rob Derrick, who has 30 years experience in Programme/Project Management and Global Drug Development. Jackie Derrick, with more than 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry, joined the company in 2015.
The primary focus of the organisation is based around the experience of the primary consultants in the Pharmaceutical sector, although the services available are transferable to other sectors. The service offerings can be broadly categorised into 2 areas:
Project Management
We offer Drug Development and Project Management/Leadership support throughout the drug development life-cycle. We can develop an over-arching strategic project plan for new or existing development opportunities. We can then implement this plan by leading cross-functional development teams working in preclinical, clinical, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance, legal, finance and marketing.

Business Support
We can provide process development or improvement support whereby we will review existing processes or identify areas where a robust process is lacking and then define and implement improved or new procedures. In addition, general business management support is available, for example resource or budget planning and tracking. We also offer support with scientific documentation – writing or reviewing protocols, reports and SOPs.

The Consultancy business model provides clients with the flexibility to utilise Syncrovex resource on an 'as needed' basis. This is particularly attractive in many instances, for example:
- Small 'start-up' companies which are focussed on the science behind the molecule and require support to move products into and through development, with an eye on the commercial objectives.
- Medium sized companies which have short to medium term resource constraints.
- Operational teams who are too busy dealing with the consequences of sub optimal processes to identify and resolve root cause
The network of contacts that Syncrovex has developed allows access to many experts in other areas of drug development, with the ability to bring together a virtual development team to support clients
